Visiting a framing workshop in another country teaches you a great deal, quickly. Everyone does it differently, yet everyone is working towards the same thing: presenting art beautifully, securely and with care.
As distributors join us from different corners of the world, I have been getting out to meet the people who will use wallCLIXX and introduce it to their customers.
A morning with Molly and Michael at Artem in Nantes, together with Domarine, our French distributor, was a great education. Here, many walls are heritage plaster or stone. The buildings are older, there are tighter rules around hanging, and many people live in rented homes. All of this shapes what a framing workshop offers and what its clients need.
Artem's level of service and attention to detail is outstanding, both in the workshop and the gallery. Large frames, multiple-piece displays and complete commercial installations, all handled with calm, organisation and precision. Molly and Michael are true professionals. Their excellent questions showed both their experience and the care they bring to their work. And their workshop was impressive. I had true workshop envy.
Every framing workshop in every country wants the same thing for their clients: the right frame, done properly, looking after the work for generations. Getting it onto the wall is part of that.
It was a pleasure to see how readily they recognised where wallCLIXX could support their work and their clients. We are delighted that wallCLIXX is available through Artem.
