How International College Hong Kong standardised artwork mounting across its campuses
International College Hong Kong now uses wallCLIXX™ as a consistent artwork mounting system for changing student displays across its campuses. The same mounting method can be used in different locations while allowing artworks to be changed, levelled and held neatly against the wall. This gives faculty and contractors one standardised approach.
The challenge
The school was looking for one reliable way to mount student artwork across its campuses.
It sounds simple, but the conditions made it less so. Work is displayed both inside and in open-air corridors, the size and weight of the pieces vary, and some of the larger frames are slightly warped. Most importantly, the artwork changes regularly.
Rather than using different hanging methods in different areas, the school wanted one system that could be used consistently as displays changed and as maintenance and upgrades were carried out.
The wallCLIXX™ solution
wallCLIXX™ was installed so the mounting method remains consistent while the artwork can change. Frames can be levelled after installation without taking them off the wall, and slightly warped frames pull flat when engaged.
An optional security cap can also provide additional security against unauthorised removal where work is accessible to students or the public.
The result
International College Hong Kong now has a standardised mounting system for changing artwork displays across different campus environments.
The response from the people using it probably says it best:
“The art hanging system is amazing!”
— Independent contractor for ICHK
“We are very impressed.”
— Sean McDermott, Head of School, International College Hong Kong
